Walking part of the Kirklees Way – training for @NSPCC North HACK challenge

We (myself, Jenny and Taru) haven’t been able to get out that much recently to get in the zone for the looming NSPCC North HACK (Hike Against Cruelty to Kids) challenge but we nearly constituted a full team this weekend, with Taru and I hitting the rain-sodden hills.

This was our second walk along the Kirklees Way – this time heading south from Marsden along the Wessenden Valley before wending south east then east through farmland and fields (and some lovely wooded areas) towards Holmfirth. We actually stopped at Holmbridge – relentless rain and time constraints won out – but it was a good leg stretcher.

The featured image on this post is of Brodie and Scout checking ahead for sunshine / lambs / rabbits .. (we saw a lot of the latter two, not much of the former).
